Capcom has officially announced Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, the next entry in the turn-based RPG spinoff series. The game is set to launch in 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.

Set in the rich world of Monster Hunter, this new chapter tells a tale of two nations—Azuria and Vermeil—on the verge of collapse. When a mysterious egg hatches not one, but two Rathalos bearing a legendary mark, whispers of a long-buried war begin to resurface. As crystal corruption spreads and the ecosystem teeters on the edge, Riders must act to prevent a catastrophe foretold two centuries ago.
Players take on the role of the heir to Azuria, a Rider gifted with the ability to bond with monsters. As the kingdom’s sole Rathalos Rider and leader of the Rangers, the protagonist is pulled into a deeper mystery threatening the balance of the world. Their journey leads them beyond the northern Meridian to forbidden lands shrouded in myth.
They’re not alone. Eleanor, princess of Vermeil, offers herself as a diplomatic hostage to Azuria in a desperate effort to avoid conflict. Alongside her loyal Monstie, Anjanath, she joins the expedition in hopes of learning the truth behind her sister’s ambitions and the growing threat looming over both nations.
Monster Hunter Stories 3 marks a dramatic evolution of the series, with new monsters, original characters, and a narrative that explores themes of legacy, extinction, and uneasy alliances. More details are expected in the coming months.
