Developer Nyctophile Studios has announced that Death Relives, its debut survival horror title, will launch on July 25 for PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. To mark the occasion, the game will be available at a 15% launch discount during its first 10 days. With its haunting atmosphere, culturally grounded mythos, and modern gameplay twists, Death Relives aims to redefine survival horror through the lens of forgotten gods.

Death Relives blends psychological horror with the rich mythology of the Aztecs, immersing players in a dark, first-person survival experience where blood sacrifice, fate, and the will of the gods shape every step. At the heart of the game is Xipe Totec—the god of death, rebirth, and skin-flaying—whose chilling voice is performed entirely in Nahuatl, the original language of the Aztec people.
Players step into the shoes of Adrian, a young man searching for his missing mother. That search leads him into a haunted, surreal world shaped by ancient ritual and divine cruelty. From shadow-filled corridors to flashbacks aboard the 16th-century ship of conquistador Hernán Cortés, the game unearths buried truths and supernatural forces long dormant.
Built in Unreal Engine 5, Death Relives offers a mix of stealth, exploration, and puzzle-solving, where players are constantly hunted and must rely on limited tools and ancient relics to survive. Combat is ritualistic and rare—fighting back comes at a cost, and running or hiding is often the only option.
To enhance immersion, Death Relives features an optional mobile companion app that syncs with the game. It acts as Adrian’s in-game phone, allowing players to interact with his AI-driven father for clues and puzzle help by sharing in-game screenshots in real time. This unique feature adds a personal, dynamic connection between the player and the unfolding narrative.
