Independent developer Sisterhood Games, a three-woman team based in Tbilisi, Georgia, has released the first public demo of DOWNHILL, a fourth wall-breaking action RPG, now available on PC via Steam. Alongside the demo, the studio launched a Kickstarter campaign to support ongoing development.

Set in a strange and fractured world, DOWNHILL follows Fade, a girl whose fate takes a sharp turn when a voice—played by the player—intervenes. The game directly addresses the player’s presence, creating a narrative in which Fade can respond to your input, question your decisions, or even resist your control. The bond between the player and Fade forms the emotional core of the game.
DOWNHILL‘s story begins with Fade cornered on a mountaintop. That’s when the player steps in, and the game breaks its own narrative frame. From that point on, your influence over Fade becomes an uneasy alliance—or a power struggle. The choices you make shape her, for better or worse.
The demo features a section of the mountain descent, with combat, exploration, and glimpses of the game’s branching structure. Players can try out time-stopping mechanics, dual-reality traversal, and the game’s unique respawn system—where every death comes at a cost to Fade herself.
DOWNHILL is currently in development. A release date has yet to be announced.
