Publisher Ubisoft and developer Evil Empire have released a major first-anniversary update for 2D action-roguelite The Rogue Prince of Persia, exactly one year after its full 1.0 release.

The free update expands the game’s core gameplay loop with dedicated Speedrun and Parkour modes, built-in timer tools, and wave-based Combat Zones. Players can also engage with the new Daily Awakening system featuring rotating run modifiers, the high-difficulty Nyamtur Trials, new freeze-and-slow abilities, a slingshot weapon type, trap tools, and companion pets that provide active and passive combat support.
Additionally, the update rebalances the pacing of early biomes and completely overhauls the final Palace biome to better match high-level endgame character builds.
The Rogue Prince of Persia is available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and the Ubisoft Store.
