Publisher Focus Entertainment and developer Asobo Studio have released a new story trailer for Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, offering a closer look at its setting, narrative, and combat mechanics ahead of its August 27 launch.

Set 15 years before A Plague Tale: Requiem, the standalone action-adventure stars a younger Sophia as she flees Venice following a failed heist with her late father’s crew. Stranded on Minotaur Island alongside her companion Leni, Sophia must navigate ruins inspired by Minoan myth while uncovering the origins of the Macula.
Resonance‘s gameplay builds on the series’ signature light-based puzzle solving, pairing environmental traversal with a more aggressive combat toolkit that includes chain sword strikes, parries, and daggers.
The title is scheduled to launch on August 27, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. It will also be available on day one via Xbox Game Pass and supports Xbox Play Anywhere. Asobo Studio also confirmed the title will be playable at Gamescom ahead of its release.
