Simone Chinese developer Seed Sparkle Lab has announced that the cozy life sim Starsand Island will leave Early Access and officially launch on August 18 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
The upcoming version introduces a variety of new mechanics, most notably an online multiplayer mode that allows up to four people to experience the peaceful rural setting together. Those participating in cooperative play can explore the countryside, fish along the coast, battle creatures in ancient ruins, and build properties while earning exclusive currency for unique rewards. The tranquil environment draws heavy inspiration from traditional Eastern philosophy, utilizing a dynamic four-season cycle that directly influences daily farming and community activities.
Alongside cooperative features, the full release heavily expands social interactions across the village. Nineteen non-playable characters will receive new relationship quests tied to deeper bonds, while the fourteen romanceable residents gain additional dating activities such as kite flying, picnics, and arcade games. Furthermore, players will be able to participate in the new Autumn Pumpkin Carnival, a seasonal event featuring exclusive storylines, glowing jellyfish catching, and festival-specific cosmetics.
Fans looking to own a physical copy can also secure their orders starting today. Physical editions of Starsand Island are currently available for pre-order ahead of their scheduled release on November 12 for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2.
