Developer Frogwares has officially opened pre-orders for The Sinking City 2, its highly anticipated Lovecraftian survival horror sequel launching on August 18, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store.

Alongside a brand-new gameplay trailer, the Ukrainian studio announced a consumer-friendly standard price point of $49.99 / €49.99, deliberately undercutting the current industry standard for major survival horror titles. Frogwares also revealed that the team recently migrated the entire project to Unreal Engine 5.8 to maximize performance gains ahead of the release.
Set in a supernatural, flooded 1920s vision of Arkham, the game follows Calvin Rafferty, an occult adventurer navigating decaying streets, flooded markets, and abandoned hospitals by foot and boat to rescue his girlfriend, Faye, from a ritualistic coma. The sequel pivots heavily into traditional survival horror territory, emphasizing inventory management, resource scarcity, and gunplay against the Slither – otherworldly entities that possess the dead. Optional investigations and environmental puzzles remain for those seeking hidden upgrades and deep lore.
PC specifications have also been finalized, calling for a steep recommended setup of an RTX 4070 Ti or RX 7900XT paired with 32GB of RAM to hit a targeted 1440p at 60fps on Balanced settings.
Three digital tiers are available for pre-order: the Standard Edition ($49.99) includes the base game and the Chthonic Arsenal weapon pack; the Deluxe Edition ($54.99) adds the Arkham Field Kit containing unique outfits, starting items, and a talent unlock; and the Premium Edition ($59.99) grants 24-hour advanced access and the exclusive Holloway Manor side-quest DLC.
