Publisher CI Games and developer Hexworks have announced that the highly anticipated Soulslike action RPG Lords of the Fallen II will officially launch this fall 2026. Arriving on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC, the companies also revealed a newly confirmed Steam release alongside the previously planned Epic Games Store version.
Update – June 24, 2026: Lords of the Fallen II is now set for a Q1 2027 release window.

The announcement comes alongside a fresh gameplay trailer titled “The Battle for Thorngar”, which spotlights several major additions to the dark fantasy sequel. Among the highlights is Ysiguen, a sprawling new biome heavily inspired by Asian mythology. The corrupted region features grand pagoda towers twisted by demonic forces and horned courtesans, all guarded by Lingao the Soaring Storm—a towering, lightning-infused dragon boss. Yielding to one of the community’s most requested features, the trailer also uncovers a brand-new katana weapon class, which will debut alongside the previously confirmed scythes.
Hexworks is aiming to deliver a bolder, braver, and bloodier evolution of its flagship franchise, utilizing lessons learned from over 70 post-launch updates applied to the 2023 reboot. Lords of the Fallen II pushes for a faster, more responsive, and more aggressive combat loop outfitted with visceral dismemberments and brutal execution mechanics. At launch, players can expect a heavily expanded roster of biome-specific enemy factions, a deeper cast of supportive NPCs, more dynamic boss encounters, a fully overhauled Umbral realm, and seamless, shared-progression co-op play.
