Third-person survival horror game PSYCHO DEAD received a brand-new gameplay trailer during the Best Indie Games Spring Showcase 2026, while its demo remains available on PC via Steam. The game is set to launch in 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC.

Developed and published by MOON CATALYST CO., LTD., PSYCHO DEAD follows Elixia, a young girl gifted with psychic powers as she attempts to escape a secret laboratory overrun by grotesque experimental creatures. The newly revealed trailer highlights previously unseen environments, more dangerous enemy encounters, and noticeable visual improvements that surpass the initial demo build.
Set within a sci-fi research facility steeped in mystery, the game blends classic survival horror structure with supernatural abilities. Players must manage limited resources, backtrack through interconnected areas, and solve environmental puzzles while evading or confronting relentless stalkers—distorted beings born from failed experiments. These enemies exhibit unique behaviors and abilities, intensifying both combat and stealth sequences.
Elixia’s psychic toolkit plays a central role in gameplay. Her powers enable telekinetic manipulation of objects, powerful ranged blasts, defensive barriers, and devastating pressure-based attacks that can crush foes. These abilities are integrated into both combat and puzzle-solving, encouraging players to adapt their approach depending on the situation.
In addition to the trailer, the studio confirmed that a major demo overhaul is planned in the coming weeks. The update will introduce visual upgrades, optimization improvements, and further refinements to align the demo more closely with the current state of development. New screenshots released alongside the announcement tease these enhancements and offer returning players a chance to compare changes.
