DaRmaZat Tokyo Scramble, a multi-genre survival puzzle action game, is set to launch exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2 on February 11 via the Nintendo eShop, publisher Binary Haze Interactive and developer Adglobe have announced. The game will be available digitally for $29.99/€29.99/¥3,278.
Set beneath the streets of modern Tokyo, Tokyo Scramble follows high school student Anne after a subway accident sends her plunging into a vast underground world hidden from the surface. This subterranean realm is inhabited by Zino, terrifying dinosaur-like creatures that hunt by sound and movement, turning every step and decision into a matter of survival. Cut off from the city above, Anne must navigate this hostile environment while searching for a path back to the surface.
Tokyo Scramble‘s gameplay blends stealth, strategy, and action into a tense survival loop built around awareness and improvisation. Avoiding detection is often as important as fighting back, with encounters shaped by sound, timing, and environmental positioning. Anne relies on a smartwatch loaded with apps that can distract enemies, create openings, or counter attacks, while managing her heart rate and movements to avoid drawing unwanted attention. Simple controls mask a system driven by split-second judgment and careful planning.
Designed specifically for Nintendo Switch 2, Tokyo Scramble takes advantage of the platform’s GameShare and GameChat features, supporting cooperative play for up to four participants while remaining fully playable solo. The experience is structured episodically, with varied underground locations and distinct enemy encounters, each accompanied by its own musical identity. Alongside the survival mechanics, the narrative unfolds through text message exchanges, focusing on the bond between four friends and the lives they hope to return to above ground.
