The sports-entertainment wrestling game WWE 2K26 will launch on March 13, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam, publisher 2K and developer Visual Concepts have announced, with premium editions granting early access starting March 6.

The new entry continues the franchise’s focus on large-scale presentation and expanded modes, with CM Punk serving as the cover star of the Standard Edition and as the centerpiece of the year’s narrative-driven Showcase mode. His career takes center stage through a curated selection of defining matches, alternate-history encounters, and a challenge-focused gauntlet designed to test experienced players, all narrated by Punk himself.
Alongside the Standard Edition, several premium editions spotlight different eras of professional wrestling history, including an edition dedicated to Paul “Triple H” Levesque’s legacy and others celebrating the Attitude Era and the Monday Night War period, blending WWE icons with legendary WCW figures. These editions will be available worldwide on March 6, one week ahead of the standard release.
Gameplay in WWE 2K26 expands on existing systems with broader match variety, more interactive environments, and mechanical refinements that place greater emphasis on stamina management, reversals, and physics-driven moments. Intergender matches are now supported across core modes, while entrances, commentary, and environmental interactions have been further enhanced to strengthen immersion.
The game also delivers the largest roster in franchise history, featuring more than 400 playable Superstars drawn from RAW, SmackDown, NXT, WWE Legends, and Hall of Famers, alongside new additions and returning fan favorites. Customization has been significantly expanded as well, with a much larger Create-a-Superstar capacity, deeper morphing tools, and increased Community Creations limits, giving players greater freedom to shape characters, arenas, and shows.
Several modes receive structural updates, including expanded management options in MyGM, branching narrative paths and extended progression in MyRISE, and new control tools within Universe mode that allow players to shape brands, drafts, and storylines more directly. The Island, the series’ shared social space, has been expanded with new progression systems, environments, and story content, and is available on PC for the first time.
On Nintendo Switch 2, WWE 2K26 introduces hardware-specific functionality such as touchscreen and mouse support, single Joy-Con play, and improved creation tools, while also supporting cross-platform Community Creations and image uploads.
