Supernatural horror collection DreadOut Remastered Collection will launch for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on January 14, publisher Soft Source Publishing and developer Digital Happiness have announced. The release will be priced at $29.99, with pre-orders now available via the Microsoft Store.
The collection bundles together DreadOut and its standalone follow-up DreadOut: Keepers of the Dark, bringing the full experience of the cult Indonesian horror series to Xbox platforms. The remastered package previously launched for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch in January 2025, followed by a PC release via Steam later that year.
In DreadOut, the story follows high school student Linda as she becomes trapped in an abandoned town filled with hostile supernatural entities. Armed with only a smartphone and an SLR camera, survival depends on confronting ghosts, solving puzzles, and uncovering the town’s disturbing secrets. As the narrative unfolds, Linda begins to awaken strange powers that may be the key to escaping both the town and the forces haunting it.
DreadOut: Keepers of the Dark expands on the universe with a darker, more focused experience set within the mysterious Mirror Realm. Transported across multiple haunted dominions, Linda must endure increasingly dangerous encounters while navigating branching paths that determine her fate. Each decision carries consequences, reinforcing the series’ emphasis on tension, exploration, and survival-driven horror.
