Lunar Strike, a single-player science-fiction narrative adventure, will officially launch in May 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Developed by Cognition Europe, the game sends players to the Moon’s South Pole in the year 2119, where survival, discovery, and archival responsibility shape every moment.

In Lunar Strike, you step into the role of a junior archivist tasked with preserving the final lunar colony’s scientific, cultural, and human legacy. What begins as a methodical assignment of scanning records and cataloguing the colony’s history quickly turns into a life-or-death scenario when sabotage throws the base into disarray. Players must manage dwindling oxygen reserves, failing energy systems, and severe time pressure while deciding what knowledge deserves to be saved for future generations.
Cognition Europe built the experience around questions of memory, ethics, and responsibility, pushing players to make difficult choices that influence the shape of the archive and the fate of the colony. Exploration and puzzle-solving replace combat, with gameplay emphasizing scanning, resource management, and navigating environmental hazards. Developed in collaboration with space researchers, Lunar Strike incorporates realistic lunar physics, including low gravity, dangerous Moon dust, and authentic technical constraints.
The game also treats cultural heritage as an interactive mechanic, using techniques like photogrammetry and 3D scanning to capture the final remnants of lunar life. With multiple story outcomes guided by player decisions, Lunar Strike blends grounded science with reflective science fiction to create an atmospheric journey about preservation and what humanity chooses to leave behind.
