DaRmaZat The Indie Game Awards 2025 will take place on December 18 at 3:30 p.m. PT / 6:30 p.m. ET, honoring independent developers and titles across multiple categories including innovation, storytelling, and artistry. The ceremony, hosted by Six One Indie, will be streamed live on YouTube and Twitch.
This year introduces the Indie Vanguard Class, highlighting five developers recognized as emerging voices shaping the future of indie gaming. The event will also expand with new regional and showcase-based categories in collaboration with groups such as Latin American Games Showcase, Women-Led Games, and Black Voices in Gaming. Viewers will be able to participate through the new Community Picks segment by submitting their favorite indie titles.
A total of 28 presenters—including Chandana Ekanayake, Lena Raine, Remy Siu, and Chipzel—will take part in the show. Nominees were selected by a diverse panel of showcase curators, media, and creators, with contributions from Six One Indie, The MIX, Wholesome Games, Playtopia Festival, and outlets such as Giant Bomb, Game Informer, and GameSpot.
The Game of the Year category includes standout nominees such as Blue Prince, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Hades II, Hollow Knight: Silksong, and Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector, among others.
