Publisher Atari and developer Fabraz have announced Bubsy 4D for PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One & Series X|S, Nintendo Switch & Switch 2, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store & GOG. A release date has not yet been confirmed.

The world’s most infamous wisecracking bobcat makes his return in a new intergalactic platforming adventure. Once again stepping into 3D, Bubsy takes on sprawling alien planets, robotic enemies, and endless yarn to collect, all while unleashing a set of new moves designed for both newcomers and speedrunners alike.
In Bubsy 4D, the mischievous hero finds himself caught up in an unexpected conflict when the Woolies, his longtime enemies, steal Earth’s sheep. Things escalate when the sheep return as dangerous BaaBots, enhanced with Woolie technology, and set their sights on Bubsy’s most prized possession: the Golden Fleece. To stop them, Bubsy must travel across the galaxy alongside his eccentric allies and reclaim what was stolen.
The game introduces a wide range of abilities, from leaping, gliding, wall-clawing, and pouncing, to a brand-new “hairball” form that allows him to roll at high speed. The expressive moveset has been designed with depth for veterans while remaining accessible to beginners.
Competitive players can push their skills further by recording best times, sharing ghost data, and climbing the online leaderboards. With Fabraz’s distinct style and a soundtrack from Fat Bard blending jazz, big band, and electro-swing, Bubsy 4D aims to give the iconic bobcat a new lease on life in 3D platforming.
