DaRmaZat The cozy medieval life sim Mirthwood is set to level up with the arrival of its highly anticipated co-op update on July 10, 2025. Announced during ClemmyGames’ Best Indie Games Summer Showcase, this major content drop from Bad Ridge Games and V Publishing adds local co-op play and Steam Remote Play support, allowing players to explore, farm, fight, and fall in love—together.
In this new update, players can team up in drop-in/drop-out local multiplayer with a dynamic shared camera that adapts as both adventurers roam the expansive world of Mirthwood. Player 2 has full access to farming, crafting, combat, and skill-building—just like Player 1. Each player keeps their own gear, progress, and abilities, with a smooth transition between single-player and multiplayer modes.
What makes this update stand out is the ability to marry your co-op partner and even raise a child together. These children grow over time, inherit traits from both parents, and eventually become fully developed NPCs with their own lives in the world.
