Developer GSC Game World has revealed full details for the massive 2.0 update for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, available via Steam, the Epic Games Store, GOG, and the Microsoft Store.

Set to release on August 20 alongside the story expansion Cost of Hope, the major 2.0 update overhauls environmental lighting and foliage while refining the A-Life simulation system for more dynamic encounters at points of interest.
The update also upgrades the gameplay with the inclusion of four new weapons (the Arev assault rifle, GP3A and SKP marksman rifles, and Fora-230 SMG), new optical scopes, three tiers of scout binoculars, customizable difficulty rules, and tactical fog mechanics that affect enemy visibility and hearing.
Cost of Hope, the concurrent expansion, adds a full story arc centered on the conflict between the Duty and Freedom factions across new regions, including the Iron Forest, CNPP, and Spatial Bubble.
