During today’s Xbox Showcase, id Software and Bethesda announced Revelations, an upcoming campaign DLC for DOOM: The Dark Ages scheduled to launch on July 7, 2026. The expansion introduces a new story chapter where you find the DOOM Slayer wounded, betrayed, and trapped in a brutal purgatory. To escape, you must confront unsettling truths and forge new strength with the assistance of a mysterious ally.

The expansion adds a fresh layer to the combat loop by introducing the Chain Spear, a lethal new weapon designed to reward mastery with enhanced power and mobility. Alongside this weapon system, the DLC delivers new levels featuring deeper puzzles, demonic enemy variants, and hidden mysteries. Simultaneously, id Software will release the Ripatorium 3.0 update, a free download for all existing players that expands customization options, improves access code generation, and lets you save and load personalized presets.
The Revelations DLC will be available at no additional cost on July 7 for anyone who owns the Digital Upgrade, Premium Edition, or Collector’s Bundle. Base game owners can purchase the expansion standalone for €19.99 or upgrade to the Premium Edition for €34.99. Completing the DLC grants Premium Edition and Collector’s Bundle owners exclusive access to three bonus maps, new demons, and fully upgraded weaponry.
DOOM: The Dark Ages is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, Xbox Cloud Gaming via Xbox Game Pass, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store.
