Publisher Nacon and developer Midgar Studio have announced that a playable PC demo for Edge of Memories, their upcoming action RPG, will launch via Steam on June 15. The full title is currently slated to release later this year for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

The upcoming demo covers the opening chapter of the story and offers roughly two hours of gameplay content. Players assume the role of Eline, a young woman who awakens on an idyllic beach along the Estfalian Coast. She soon encounters Ysoris, a mysterious traveler outfitted with strange prosthetics. Despite her initial suspicions, Eline agrees to guide him to the nearest village. The two are quickly forced into an alliance when local hunters are abducted by monsters spawned from “the Corrosion”.
The demo serves as an introduction to the game’s core real-time combat framework, allowing players to unlock Eline’s fundamental attack combos and deploy Ysoris’ unique abilities. It also highlights tactical elements like the enemy weakness mechanic, resting at campsites to craft potions, and a culminating boss battle. Defeating this first boss unlocks Eline’s temporary “Black Beast” transformation, a short-lived rage state that significantly boosts her strength and allows her to deal massive damage, concluding with a spectacular finishing blow that she cannot remember afterward.
Edge of Memories is slated for a 2026 release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
