Bleakmill’s latest developer update for INDUSTRIA 2, set to launch for PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, offers a closer look at the sequel’s growing scope, core mechanics, and technical progress. The developer shares details on recent development work, including gameplay systems, level production, and engine improvements.

Following feedback from the recent demo, the team focused on technical upgrades to the core build. These include proper ultrawide monitor support with Hor+ scaling, improved key binding and user interface adjustments, and fixes related to DLSS initialization. The developers also confirmed plans to support NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution, which is currently targeted as a post-launch update. With these foundations in place, development has now shifted back toward completing the game’s main environments.
The studio also revealed that the sequel will be significantly larger than the original INDUSTRIA. The game currently features around 24 individual maps, compared to six in the first title. Some larger areas have been split into smaller maps for performance reasons, but the expanded structure also reflects a broader range of locations used to support the story.
Another system highlighted in the update is the ATLAS Vault, a weapon upgrade station first introduced in early form during the demo. Within the game’s lore, the AI entity ATLAS stores confiscated human equipment in underground vaults. Players can access these containers by feeding them Petrichor, a mysterious fluid collected throughout the world, allowing them to retrieve weapons or upgrade their gear.
Powered by Unreal Engine 5, INDUSTRIA 2 continues the narrative of Nora’s struggle against the AI-controlled world of ATLAS. The sequel builds on the original’s foundation with larger environments, new mechanics, and expanded storytelling systems.
