DaRmaZat Acclaim has announced that its first Play Acclaim digital showcase will premiere tomorrow, September 10, at 2:30 PM ET / 11:30 AM PT / 20:30 CEST on the publisher’s official YouTube channel.
The event will highlight the rebirth of the legendary company, which was once a major force in living rooms throughout the ’80s and ’90s. The teaser for the showcase offers a cryptic glimpse of Acclaim’s upcoming games hidden within static and CRT glow, signaling the start of a new chapter while honoring the brand’s unmistakable DNA.
CEO Alex Josef described the initiative as more than nostalgia, calling it “retrofuturenostalgia” — a blend of reverence for Acclaim’s past with a forward-looking vision. He emphasized that the showcase will set the tone for Acclaim’s future as a hub for bold, innovative independent titles set to arrive in 2026 and beyond.
