Publisher Dear Villagers and Italian studio Sedleo have announced 1348 Ex Voto, a cinematic action-adventure game set in 14th century Italy. It is in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam, and will launch in early 2026.

1348 Ex Voto follows the journey of Aeta, a young noble voiced by Alby Baldwin, as she sets out to find her closest companion, Bianca (Jennifer English), after bandits devastate their village. With knightly training to guide her, Aeta must navigate a fractured land haunted by violence, disease, and fanaticism.
The project marks the debut of Sedleo, a newly formed studio led by Tom Oceano (game director) and Fabiola Martelli (studio director). The team, made up of international AAA veterans, chose to ground their first title in their homeland of Italy, spending extensive time documenting landscapes and architecture to ensure historical authenticity.
The year 1348 serves as a defining backdrop: a time when plague, lawlessness, and collapsing authority reshaped Italian society. Aeta’s path leads through a world of bandits, mercenaries, and zealots, where survival demands both combat and resolve.
With its cinematic approach and a setting rarely explored in games, 1348 Ex Voto aims to deliver a brutal yet deeply personal adventure through one of history’s darkest chapters.
