Bandai Namco has released a new system trailer for Digimon Story Time Stranger, providing a deeper look at how players will recruit, evolve, and battle with Digimon. In this turn-based RPG, players scan Digimon during combat to unlock the ability to create and add them to their team.

In Digimon Story Time Stranger, customization plays a central role—Digimon can be enhanced with equipment and Attachment Skills, while their elemental attributes and personality types shape their evolution paths. The Digivolution system allows Digimon to transform into stronger forms or revert to earlier stages, depending on battle performance and stats.
Players can also build up their team in the DigiFarm, a customizable training space where Digimon grow autonomously. Additionally, Agent Skills can be collected to provide combat support.
Mastering battles means understanding each Digimon’s traits and elemental resistances, and choosing the right companions before entering combat. The game introduces Cross Arts, a new tactical ability type that lets players execute joint attacks or defensive maneuvers.
Digimon Story Time Stranger launches October 3 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
