Hela: of Mice & Magic, the Scandinavian folklore-inspired 3D open-world adventure from developer Windup Games and publisher Knights Peak, premiered a brand-new demo trailer during IGN Fan Fest 2026: Fall Edition, with a playable demo running through Steam Next Fest from October 19 to 26.

Inspired by Northern Swedish nature, the cozy title puts players in control of a magical mouse familiar equipped with a gadget-filled Froggy Backpack to restore power to an ailing witch’s cottage and aid the local forest inhabitants.
Featuring non-violent physics-based puzzles, foraging, potion brewing, and crafting, the newly released demo offers a self-contained forest area playable solo – supported by the Shade System to create magical mouse clones for multi-paw puzzles – or via local split-screen co-op.
Hela: of Mice & Magic launches December 1, 2026, for PC (via Steam and Epic Games), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Switch 2.
